Hemant Acharya is an acclaimed Bhajan and Ghazal singer, celebrated for his soul-stirring voice and profound musical artistry. A versatile performer, Hemant ji has mesmerised audiences across India and abroad with his spiritual Bhajans, heart-touching Ghazals, and light classical renditions.
Born in to the style & traditions of the musical family of Jaipur, he was groomed by his father, Pandit Ballabhdas Acharya, a well-acclaimed & renowned devotional singer of his era. Acharyaji is a student of legendary classical vocalist & guru Mrs. Leelavati Audsule of Gwalior Gharana.
He has also been guided by Great Sitar Maestro and Spiritual Sadguru Respected Shri Probal Choudhary from Kolkata. He has been trained in tabla (percussion) under maestro Thakur Kishansinghji of Banaras Gharana.
As a music director, he has composed music for all the leading singers of the country like Anup Jalota, Suresh Wadkar, Sonu Nigam, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sadhna Sargam among others.
He has collaborated with Anup Jalota for a devotional album Samarpan, which was a very well-received musical composition.
With years of dedication to the art of Indian devotional and semi-classical music, Hemant Acharya has established himself as a leading figure in Bhajan and Ghazal singing. Trained in classical music and deeply rooted in the traditions of Indian spirituality, his performances evoke a powerful sense of devotion, peace, and introspection.
He has been performing all over the country and captivating audiences with his endearing personality, ability to connect to the audience instantly, and above all, his musical ability. He has also founded the Swar Sargam Academy, where he loves to nurture the next generation of musicians.
