Rakesh Munjal’s journey in law began after completing his LLB from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, in 1979. Starting as an Income Tax lawyer, he transitioned to the High Court, demonstrating adaptability. This early career shift set the stage for a remarkable ascent, showcasing versatility and ambition in the legal profession.

A Senior Advocate Shaping Legal Foundations

Designated as a Senior Advocate by the High Court of Delhi in January 2001, Rakesh Munjal has been a formidable presence in the Supreme Court of India. His understanding of constitutional, corporate, and civil law has made him a sought-after counsel, earning the respect of judges, peers, and young lawyers alike.

Leadership Beyond the Courtroom

Munjal has redefined legal leadership through pivotal roles in professional organizations. As President of the Campus Law Centre Alumni Association, he strengthens connections between law graduates. As President of SAARCLAW India, he spearheads legal collaboration across South Asian countries. As the Vice President of the Indian Law Institute (ILI) from 2010 to 2016, he visited Harvard University, Boston, Philadelphia University and Georgia University, Atlanta, USA. He also represented ILI in BRICS LAW in Shanghai.

Advocating for Welfare and Shaping Legal Education

His commitment extends to the welfare of legal professionals as the Managing Trustee of the Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust (2019-2024), ensuring support for lawyers. As a member of the Governing Council of Chanakya National Law University, Patna, and National Law University, Visakhapatnam, he has been instrumental in shaping legal education and academic research.
