He has worked as an Associate Consultant at Max Healthcare, Saket, and as a Consultant at Sarvodaya Healthcare, Faridabad, before joining Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital in Greater Noida as a Consultant in the Department of Adult and Paediatric Cardiac Surgery.

In paediatric cardiac surgery , Dr. Sharma specializes in procedures such as Arterial Switch Operation, TOF repair, VSD and ASD closures, BT shunts, TruncusArteriosus correction, TAPVC repairs, AV canal defects, Glenn and Fontan procedures, and complex redo surgeries. For adult patients, he focuses on advanced coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), including off-pump and multi-arterial techniques, valvular heart disease management, and aortic pathologies like dissections and aneurysms.
