Dr. Prabal Roy is India’s well-known and skilled GI and Laparoscopic surgeon, with many credits to his name. Having attained education and training from top medical institutes. Dr. Prabal has performed all types of major Gastro-surgeries, from general to advanced, in his illustrious medical career.

  • Prabal Roy has established Department of GI Surgery at Escorts Hospital & Research Centre Faridabad, Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad QRG Health City, and Metro Heart Institute with Multispeciality, Faridabad.
  • Dr Prabal Roy pioneered in establishing VATS and Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery in Northern India and has successfully carried out procedures like cholecysytectomies, appendectomies & hernia surgeries – innovating the technique of Transfacial Umbilical Multiport Laparoscopy (TUMP). The technique has many peer reviewed international publications to his credit.
  • Prabal Roy is the first surgeon in the state of Haryana to introduce and establish a bariatric & metabolic surgery program which include Gastric Sleeve Resection, Roux en Y Gastric Bypass, Mini Gastric Bypass and Revisional Bariatric Surgery.
  • Dr Prabal Roy specialises in Minimal Access Surgery and his practice has established itself as a bench mark in Haryana.

  • Prabal Roy believes in extending his knowledge and expertise to others as well, and has participated, since his early years, in medical education, as a tutor accredited by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to impart training and as a thesis guide to post graduate trainees in General Surgery. Many of his students are, today, successful surgeons in different parts of the country.
  • He was Associate editorwith the Indian Journal of Surgeryfrom the year 2010 – 2018.
  • He is a member of theExecutive Committeeof Indian Hernia Society
  • He is a national faculty participating as speaker for lectures on endovascular, general and weight loss surgery and as operating faculty at workshops at many national workshops.
